Career Highlights
23 October 2009: Paula Novak Gallery in Haumoana is opened by iconic New Zealand artist Dick Frizzell and Paula's extraordinary work is on display to the community for the first time.
2009: Paula moves to Hawke's Bay, the East Coast fruitbowl of New Zealand where the sun first rises on the worldand begins work on creating a world class gallery and studio in an art deco premises on the foreshore at Haumoana as her new base of operations.
2007-2008: Creating of a seven part series depicting the Bride of Christ and a nine part contemporary series on the theme Fruit of the Spirit both of which are available as a series of card and print sets.
2006: Paula Novak launches her events company, Paula Novak Events.
2005: Montage for Kings College auctioned during its annual art exhibition. Photorealistic portraits of several families including one with 10 people in it. Panels for a prestigious central Auckland beauty clinic. 40 Panel outdoor nativity mural for Kiwi Valley in Henderson.
2004: Finalist in the Wallace Trust, Adam Portrait competition in 2004 with a portrait of film director Peter Jackson. Super-sized portrait of Waitakere Trust chariman Ross Dallow, with the Waitakere Stadium in the background, unveiled by Prime Minister Helen Clark.
2003: 12 fairies for the Hallmark 2003 calendar, Designer Roisin Dubh's fashion boutique used Paula's art to promote her 2003 and 2004 range to the world.

Earlier career
Pre-1970: Paula is largely self-taught. Top marks for art at high school, winner of several national art competitions, much sought after to paint personal portraits for friends..
1970-1975: Commercial artist Auckland Star, Milne & Choice
1975: Freelance artist, commissioned portraits and group exhibitions.
1980: First solo exhibition
1985: The Narnia Series of paintings. Solo and group exhibitions
1998: The Five Elements series of paintings. Solo and group exhibitions
2000: Moved to the bush in Titirangi, painted native series and Nikau Maiden.
2001: Expanding career options to include book illustrations, CD covers, commissioned fantasy art, corporate commissions and murals and a new personal series currently being planned.
